Silken syrah. In some ways that’s all you need to know though it’s worth pointing out that it’s complex and lengthy; it’s not a one-trick pony. It’s beautifully fruited and balanced, it’s blackberried flavours spotted with anise, cloves, woodsmoke and cream.
It is both powerful and meticulous,
as Bekkers’ wines invariably are.
There’s tannin here but not a great deal; there’s enough. It is a beautiful wine.
